On Wednesday 28th January, we will be having a visit at Open House from Michelle Vodden of Support Staffordshire, who will be telling us about the proposed Citizen Jury, which is to be set up to advise East Staffordshire Borough Council on their use of glyphosate across the Borough.
Glyphosate is a widely used chemical herbicide that kills weeds and unwanted plants by blocking a key enzyme they need to grow. It is an effective weed killer, and widely used by councils, conservation organisations and grounds maintenance staff across the UK, but concerns have been raised about associated environmental and health impacts.
