September begins, so here we are 'like greyhounds in the slips, Straining at the start.'
Yes - by popular demand and Royal decree, we begin our new programme on Monday, September 14th, at the new time of 1.30-2.30 but at our usual venue, the Friends Meeting House (next to Wilfred House).
The format remains unchanged: having agreed a topic, each of us brings an appropriate reading (any source) that usually lasts no more than a few minutes. An informal discussion follows. It is a fun way to share pleasurable experiences, to hear something new or revisit familiar passages.
Our group is warm, good-humored and welcoming, so why not join us?
Some helpful hints:
'Never judge a book by its movie' (J W Eagan)
'If you don't like to read, you haven't found the right book' (J K Rowling)
'Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint' (Mark Twain)
