🏓The Table Tennis group meets at Wilfred House in Carter Street every Wednesday afternoon. 1.30pm through to 3.30pm.
🏓We normally play doubles because of our numbers, and this allows all members to enjoy
good social and competitive games. We have great mixture of abilities and styles.
🏓The group plays on four tables and we split into two sessions - enjoying a “rest break” halfway through.
🏓 We have high numbers at the moment but please do contact us to express an interest.
🏓We have enough basic equipment but players should wear non slip trainers or equivalent footwear.
🏓Table Tennis is acknowledged as a great way to maintain well-being and agility. Its benefits are well documented as low impact sport for healthy living.
🏓Sessions are 2 hours long with a break in the middle. We “rest” for major holidays.
🏓The origins of Ping Pong can be traced back to the late 1800s in England.

🏓The game was also known as "whiff-whaff" and was played with simple equipment, including a lightweight celluloid ball and crude paddles made from cork and parchment.
🏓Why not come and have a go?
🏓New players are always welcome. All abilities are catered for and the group is always caring social and friendly.
