GARDENS INTEREST GROUP – SEPTEMBER 2026 MEETING

The monthly meeting of the Group will be held on Thursday 10th September 2026 from 2pm – 3:30pm.

A Talk and Presentation will be given by Group Leader, Graham White, entitled "Autumn Gardens".

The Talk will be followed by an Open Questions & Answers session regarding Gardens in Autumn.

Although some people may be away on the Llandudno Trip, our monthly meeting will still take place.

GARDENS INTEREST GROUP – JULY 2026 MEETING

The monthly meeting in July 2026 will be a Garden Visit to Group Leader Graham White’s Karibu Garden in Woodleighton Grove, Uttoxeter, ST14 8BX on Thursday 9th July 2026 between 1pm and 4pm.

The time of the visit has been arranged so people can come whenever they please and stay as long as they like between 1 & 4pm. Complimentary Tea, Coffee, Squash and Biscuits will be served. Uttoxeter u3a members, who have not joined the Gardens Interest Group are invited to come along, and our volunteers will take their details so we can keep in touch. Normal u3a charge of £2 per person will be collected.

There is limited parking in Woodleighton Grove, so the alternative is to come up Highwood Road, turn right and park along Kingfisher Way on the opposite side of the road to the Convenience Store & Off Licence.

The Karibu Garden opened as part of the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) for 11 years up to the start of Covid and has not opened since. Without proper maintenance, through personal circumstances, the Garden quickly fell into a state of Decline and Decay but is now in the process of being restored. The Upper Garden is now completed but there is still some work required in the Lower Garden.
